Proprietary Formulated Materials

ExpandoHeat Technology employs proprietary formulated microwave absorbing materials to allow for controlled conversion of microwave energy into thermal energy. Our technology was tested with microwave generator with 2.45 GHz frequency and 140W power.

By optimizing parameters of microwave absorbing materials we are creating an optimal balance between thermal and microwave heating. This can be customize for any surgical application in order to achieve a desired result.

  • Dual heating effect is a technical breakthroughs as the result of this new technology:

  • Thermal effect for contact heating

  • Microwaves for deeper penetration

  • Use of microwave energy not possible in currently available surgical instruments while our technology make it possible

Disruptive Electrosurgical

Instruments

We have developed and tested several instruments that utilize ExpandoHeat technology to perform:

  • Vessel Sealing

  • Tissue Coagulation

  • Tissue Ablation

  • Thick tissue ablation (40mm thick liver tissue was successfully ablated)

  • Cancerous bones ablation

  • Body cavity ablation

List of devices can be developed base on tested ExpendoHeat prototypes to outperformed existing on the market devices. Those devices can be developing with minimum technical and regulatory risks.

  •       ExpandoHeat microwave ablation probe for soft tissue ablation. Similar to “Acciulis” by Angiodynamics, “Emprint” Ablation system by Medtronic and NewWave microwave ablation system, recently acquired by Ethicon.

  •      Expandoheat microwave forceps devices for open or laparoscopic surgery for tissue fusion and blood vessel   sealing.  Similar to LigaSure tissue fusion instruments by Covidien, ThermoStapler by EMED (European medical device company). Similar to Isolator Synergy ablation system by AtriCure to treat Atrial Fibrillation.

  •      ExpandoHeat microwave area ablation devices for tissue area ablation. Similar to Halo90 ablation catheter for treatment of Barrett’s esophagus by Medtronic (Covidien acquired Barrx medical)

  •      ExpandoHeat soft catheter to collapse and close enlarged leg veins. Similar to ClosureFast catheters by Covidien.

  •     ExpandoHeat  microwave system for cardio ablation. Similar to Cardioablate Gemini surgical ablation system by Medtronic,  Flex Ablation probe microwave ablation system By Guidant now Boston Scientific

  •     ExpandoHeat bone tumor microwave ablation system. Similar to Star tumor ablation system by Merit Medical and OsteCool ablation system by Medtronic.

  •     ExpandoHeat balloon ablation devices for cavity ablation. Similar to Medtronic Barrx devices for esophagus ablation (Medtronic bought for $325 mil.) and similar to Hlogic NovaSure uterus ablation devices (was bought for $325 mil.)

  •      ExpandoHeat technology can be incorporated with surgical staplers produced by Medtronic, Ethicon or Teleflex to reduce risk of bleeding and infection.

  •      Expandoheat microwave forceps devices ability to ablate thick tissue can be used for liver resection, hepatectomy, lung resection and gastrectomy.

ExpandoHeat is a highly innovative energy platform technology that presents a very significant opportunity for major medical device markets with a combined market value of approx. $15 Billion
